We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

Cookies fall into two groups: essential cookies required for the site to work, and optional analytics and advertising cookies. Optional cookies are only set after you give consent where consent is required. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

We use the following third-party services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

• Google AdSense — displays ads on our site. To show and measure ads, Google may use cookies and your IP address. With your consent, Google may also use this data to personalize ads based on your interests. Beginning on or after August 3, 2026, Google may use IP-based signals to measure and personalize ads for users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
• Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, approximate location). It uses cookies and your IP address; IP addresses are processed in a shortened or anonymized form where required by law.
• Microsoft Clarity — captures aggregated, anonymized usage metrics and session interactions (such as clicks and scrolls) to help us improve the site. It is only loaded after you consent where consent is required.

These providers act as independent data controllers or processors for the data they collect, and may transfer data outside your country.

If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies or using your data for analytics and personalized advertising. We do this through a Google-certified consent message that appears on your first visit. You can:

• Accept, reject, or customize your choices when the consent message appears
• Change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your cookies and reloading the page, which re-displays the consent message
• Opt out of personalized Google ads at any time via Google Ads Settings (linked below)

We keep a record of the consent choices collected through this consent message.

If you purchase Premium, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider that acts as merchant of record for the transaction; PayPal, Inc. continues to handle existing subscriptions. We share with the provider only what is needed to process your order, and we receive from it your transaction status, the amount paid, and a transaction identifier. We never receive or store your card number or bank details.

We keep billing records (plan, status, transaction identifiers, amounts) for as long as your account exists and as required for tax and accounting purposes. Subscription status is processed on the legal basis of performing our contract with you.

The provider's own privacy statement applies to data you provide directly to it at checkout. Email [email protected] if you would like us to confirm which provider handled a specific transaction. For existing subscriptions, see the PayPal Privacy Statement.

When you share a puzzle you can create a play link that anyone can open in a browser without an account. Completion tracking on those links is off by default. Only the signed-in person who created a link can turn it on, and only for their own links.

When tracking is on, we record, for each attempt on that link:

• the first name or nickname the player types (or nothing at all, if the person who shared the link turned that option off)
• which shared puzzle it was, and whether it was opened as a play page or an embedded puzzle
• when the attempt started, whether it was finished, and how long it took

That list is complete. We do not store a player's IP address, browser details, device fingerprint, email address or any account for them. Network addresses are used only in a short-lived, rotating hashed form to rate-limit abuse, and cannot be linked back to an individual player or read as an address.

These records are visible only to the person who created the link. They can view them, export them as a spreadsheet, delete any individual record, or turn tracking off at any time. Records are deleted automatically when the link is deleted or expires. We do not use them for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than showing them to the person who shared the link.

Our service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
